This report presents findings from a mixed-methods study examining the socioeconomic, environmental, and community development implications of lithiumrelated activities surrounding the Gwanda Lithium processing plant in Mandihongola Village, Ward 11, Gwanda District, Matabeleland South Province, Zimbabwe. The study forms part of the broader project titled “Extracting for the Future: Lithium Mining, Community Development and Energy Transitions in Zimbabwe’s Zulu and Gwanda Lithium Mines.”
